During bleaching, the enamel is discoloured by the action of active oxygen on the dyes stored in it. This process is called oxidation. It only affects the colour pigments, but not the enamel, which consists of about 96% of a mineral, inorganic hydroxide apatite substance. Therefore, nothing can be changed on the tooth itself, and therefore nothing can be damaged. This chemical fact is the reason why bleaching is so effective and safe. The enamel is neither thinner nor weaker or negatively affected in any way.

A completed teeth whitening treatment usually lasts 1-2 years and your teeth will always be whiter than before the whitening treatment, but of course your teeth will darken over time due to the consumption of foods such as red wine, tea, cola, coffee, beetroot and smoking. In order to maintain the whiteness of your teeth, we recommend that you brush your teeth every 6-12 months.

When using the Whitening Pens for the first time, the gel must first be transported from the lower part of the pen to the applicator and brush. Since the Whitening Pens fill from the bottom to the top, the ejection of the gel requires about 20-40 actuations of the button on the bottom of the Whitening Pen. This process can be slightly accelerated if you hold the pen for a few minutes in the warm hand and the gel becomes more fluid.

Blue mode
This is the normal bleaching process that is suitable for refreshing the bleaching, slightly discolored teeth or sensitive teeth. This mode works with classic light waves which are also used for bleaching at the dentist.

Boost mode
The combination of blue and red light is the Boost mode, also known from the new laser tooth whitening. Bundled powerful light waves with a wide spectrum work effectively in combination with the bleaching gel to achieve fast and maximum results. This mode is suitable for first-time teeth whiteners, heavy discolouration and smokers' teeth, or when fast results and the whitest possible teeth are desired.
